The holidays are the best time of year to bring out all your red lip products. They're an excuse to put on a bold lip and have fun at all those holiday parties you're going to. To help in celebrating all of these festivities, I've put together four options that I've enjoyed.
First up is the Revlon Lip Butter in Wild Watermelon. It's great for those who still want a red lip, but aren't quite ready to wear such a bold shade of red. Revlon's lip butters give a wonderful sheer wash of colour on the lips. This shade in particular is a medium pinkish-red, but it does look almost orange when compared to the other red options in this post.
Next, we have the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipstick in Bel Ami. This may look a little scary in the tube, but it's actually a very beautiful deep red wine colour. When I wear this, I feel sophisticated. It does give your lips a I-just-drank-some-red-wine look. It's quite a hydrating formula, but because it's a sheer lipstick, you'll have to reapply often.
For those who want a much bolder option, look no further than the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Mightiest Maraschino. It's a true bright cherry red and is one of those shades that makes your teeth look whiter.
For the final option, we have the NARS Lipstick in Petit Monstre. This was released as part of their 2010 holiday collection. I know, it's 4 years old, but it still smells the same way it did when I first bought it and it still applies very nicely. This lipstick is a very beautiful deep coppery red that has a bit of a golden sheen when applied. It's quite pigmented, but can be a little drying on the lips. I wish NARS would bring this shade back!
